What Headroom reads, what it keeps, and what leaves your Mac: nothing, unless you ask.
What Headroom reads
The readings macOS gives any app: processor, memory, disk and network counters, the battery, the temperature sensors, and the list of running processes. With Full Disk Access, which you grant in System Settings, it also reads folder sizes for the Storage map.
What it keeps
Its settings and the last Storage scan, in a Headroom folder in Application Support, in your Library on this Mac. Delete the app and that folder, and it’s gone.
What leaves your Mac
Nothing. Headroom makes no network requests: there’s no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and no update check. The one exception is yours to trigger: What’s This? opens a Google search for a process’s name in your browser. Headroom sends nothing itself; your browser does, when you choose it.
This website
Plain pages on Cloudflare, with no cookies and no analytics. Cloudflare keeps its own request logs, as any host does.
